Navigation Bar. Week 6, 2nd post.

Here is my navigation bar. It is very simple to use, easy to read and understand what each page means. I would create a rollover using a color change of the word. The words will be white, then the rollover would turn them into red. The word will stay read when your on that page to allow the user to know what page they are on. The nab bar is located on the top of the page and the bottom for ease of use. This allows the user to navigate close to the top or bottom so they don't have to scroll all the way to the top to get to it.

Week 6

Here is a wireframe layout for my The Bleeding Edge website. I have a very simple tool bar that changes to red when you are on that page. I think this helps the user a lot. It allows them to know what page they are on. The tool bar is also repeated at the bottom, just incase they can't see the one at top if they scroll down. At the top I have an area where you can subscribe to the newsletter. The tool bar and the subscribe info will be located on all pages. I will also add link buttons above the top tool bar for Facebook, twitter, and what other sites I may add.

Week 5

TDH Creative is a design firm with a great layout for their page. I image their wireframe was very simple to layout. The main page has some links on the top with design elements to it with a picture box below that changes every 5-10 seconds. When you click on the work link, it takes you to a page that is laid out with multiple boxes in a grid pattern showing a intro to their work. Click one of them, then it takes you to the work they did for that company. The links also have cool rollover changes. Check out their work!

Manufacture d' essai is an amazing website that uses typography very well. This site is a high fashion website based out of the UK. The layout makes this site really pop off the page, with the use of background and foreground imagery. The foreground image seems to be close to the camera and out of focus like a photography would be. Take a look and share your thoughts.

The Gestalt Principle defintion means unified whole. The website Glass Coat Photo Booth is a great example of the Gestalt Principle. Everything on the site ties in together with it's classic look and style. It even keeps with the style by having old fashioned sounding music playing in it's video. This is a great way to brand your company or site.

Themes for a website are very important to the site. This allows the user a one of a kind experience. A website should stand out from one another to stand on it's own from the rest of the over populated crowd. One website I found called Station Street has it's on unique layout. Station Street is a one page layout with all of it's food menu items on a single page. On the top left it has a few buttons that allow to get the info you need to contact or find the location of the restaurant. Take a look.

Here is a website I like that is clean and simple: Hard Craft. This website is very easy to navigate through. Tool bar located on the side with pictures of their products they sell directly in the middle on the page. Easy to chose each image to get more info. This website is for anyone who is looking for a bag or wallet. It's a little higher end with the pricing, but the overall website is amazing for what the products and pricing is.
